A Hands-On Workshop in Noisy Circuit Making
“Join us for Electronic Anarchy, a playful workshop where you’ll create noisy synthesizers. We’ll utilize key CMOS 40XX integrated circuits, experiment with electronic components, and learn the language of electronics by reading schematics, prototyping, and soldering sound circuits.”
Join us for Electronic Anarchy, a playful workshop where you’ll create noisy synthesizers. We’ll utilize key CMOS 40XX integrated circuits, experiment with electronic components, and learn the language of electronics by reading schematics, prototyping, and soldering sound circuits.
The goal of this workshop is to explore the creative possibilities of electronic circuits through experimentation and making mistakes. No prior knowledge is required—just come and have fun!
The lesson DIY ChaOs is about DIY electronics, circuit bending and hardware hacking. “If you have more enthusiasm than technical skills, and yet you fantasize about a new bodily, political, social, technological reality. If they told you, it couldn’t be done… then do it!” DIY ChaOs is a playful, participatory and collaborative pedagogical experience in which participants can learn electronics by entering the depths of disused electronic artifacts. Exploring, deducing, analyzing, experimenting, making mistakes, sharing, playing, undoing hegemonic discourses between body, technology and gender.
